Job Description
We are seeking a Software Simulation Engineer to design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains supporting advanced aerospace and flight systems. This role involves working with 6 Degree of Freedom (6DOF) simulations, flight software development, trajectory optimization, and simulation-based testing in a Linux environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, verify, and test software and simulation toolchains.
Develop and maintain 6DOF simulations to support flight software design and validation.
Optimize flight software and simulation performance.
Utilize trajectory optimization tools and methodologies.
Support software integration, testing, and verification activities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and validate system capabilities.
Document software designs, test results, and technical analyses.
Support mission-critical development activities in a secure environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with no prior professional experience.
Active U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.
Experience with C++ and Python programming.
Experience developing software in a Linux environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Knowledge of control systems theory and guidance law design.
Experience with 6DOF simulation environments.
Proficiency with C++, Python, Jira, and Linux development tools.
Experience with trajectory optimization software and aerospace simulation tools.
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with no prior professional experience. Advanced degrees in Engineering or related technical disciplines are preferred.
