We're seeking experienced PACU Registered Nurses who thrive in perioperative settings and are comfortable floating between pre-op, post-op, and Phase I PACU areas.

Position Overview

The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse is responsible for monitoring and caring for patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures. The PACU RN assesses vital signs, level of consciousness, pain management needs, and potential complications while ensuring a safe recovery and transition through the post-operative process.

Important Assignment Requirements

✅ Must be available 8/10 through 8/14 with no requested time off during that period
✅ Must be willing to float within:

  • Pre-Op

Compensation

💰 Estimated Weekly Pay Package: $2,180

  • Meals Stipend: $500/week
  • Housing Stipend: $800/week
Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and sedation
  • Assess and document vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness
  • Identify and respond to adverse reactions or post-operative complications
  • Administer medications and pain management interventions as ordered
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Provide patient and family education regarding post-operative recovery
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
Minimum Requirements
  • Current RN license in the state of practice
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification (per facility requirements)
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-Ray (if required)
  • Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulations)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
