Job description

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Interventional Neurology Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an integral member of our neurology department, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians and healthcare professionals during advanced interventional procedures. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and setup of equipment and supplies for interventional neurology procedures.

• Operate imaging and monitoring equipment (e.g., fluoroscopy, angiography) during procedures, ensuring optimal visualization and data acquisition.

• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to provide patient care during procedures, including patient positioning, monitoring vital signs, and responding to patient needs.

• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols throughout procedures.

• Assist with patient assessment, documentation, and post-procedure care as directed by healthcare providers.

• Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues to ensure operational readiness.

• Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain accurate records of procedures performed.

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) preferred
  • Previous experience in interventional radiology, neurology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in operating fluoroscopic and angiographic equipment.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to neurology procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
  • Active and unrestricted RT license in the state of Florida)
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience. Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
  • AART or equivalent (for RT position, not required for Scrub Tech)
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. These include, but are not limited to, sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time, lifting, pulling, moving patients/objects > 50 pounds, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritizes effectively, and must be a team player.
