RN – Interventional Radiology (IR)
Location: Bethesda, MD 20892
Duration: 13 Weeks with Possible Extension
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
On-Call: 24-Hour Call Coverage for Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) to provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing interventional and diagnostic radiology procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care skills, procedural nursing experience, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient care and monitoring.
  • Assist physicians during interventional and diagnostic radiology procedures.
  • Administer and monitor conscious sedation according to established protocols.
  • Assess and monitor patient responses before, during, and after procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and procedure records.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in required on-call coverage, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:
  • Active RN License.
  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) RN experience.
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills.
  • Experience with procedural sedation and emergency response preferred.

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
