Job description

Job Summary:
Hyve Solutions is dedicated to helping customers, business partners, and employees achieve success through technology solutions. The Business Intelligence Data Analyst will focus on data extraction, transformation, and validation to support business analysis and reporting, while also partnering with teams to define data requirements and improve data integrity.
Responsibilities:
• Own the extraction, transformation, and validation of data from multiple sources to support business analysis and reporting
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to power dashboards, reporting, and ad hoc analysis
• Design and build scalable datasets and data models to support business domain.
• Partner with business and technical teams to define data requirements and translate them into structured data solutions
• Identify data quality issues, implement validation checks, and drive improvements in data integrity and reliability
• Develop automated reporting and data pipelines to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and key business drivers, and translate findings into actionable insights
• Create and maintain documentation for data models, transformations, and reporting logic
Qualifications:
Required:
• BA/BS degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong SQL skills, including experience with complex joins, window functions, and query optimization
• Experience working with large, relational datasets and building data models for analytics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with BI tools such as Power BI or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into data solutions
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (e.g., Databricks/Hive/Snowflake schemas)
Preferred:
• Experience with Microsoft Access or similar tools is a plus
