Laboratory Technician - Parasitology Research
Contract: 1 year contract with conversion potential

Location: Athens GA
Support daily laboratory operations Parasitology Research team, including insect rearing, lab maintenance, and drug screening activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily insect/ectoparasite rearing and husbandry activities.
- Support parasitology research through reagent preparation, cleaning, stocking, and assay activities.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and maintenance schedules.
- Receive, store, and dispose of laboratory materials according to procedures.
- Work independently while following safety, regulatory, and Good Scientific Practice standards.
- Learn and operate basic laboratory automation equipment and software.
Requirements:
- College coursework in Biology or equivalent. MS or PhD candidates will not be considered.
- 2+ years of laboratory experience in a research or academic setting.
- 1+ year of experience maintaining insect or ectoparasite colonies in a vivarium/insectary.
- Experience with aseptic technique.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, communication, and teamwork.
- Fluency in English.
