Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Electrical Engineer - Level 2 to join our team in Huntsville, AL.

The Electrical Engineer - Level 2 will support all phases of electrical engineering objectives from inception through completion. This role is responsible for executing electrical testing at the system level for flight hardware and launch support equipment.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Authoring electrical work packages and executing procedures as the test conductor
  • Supporting vehicle level tests and collaborating with a team of support engineers/technicians
  • Complete data reviews posts test execution
  • Development and execution of troubleshooting plans for nonconformances
  • Support the development of quality processes and procedures
  • Maintain close coordination with the engineering manager on electrical engineering activities and milestones
  • Participates in daily escalation and tiered meeting structures
  • Support transition to digital work instructions (MES)
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 2 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 0 years of professional experience.
  • Requires an interim active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
  • General electrical engineering, power systems, RF, and digital and analog electronic system background
  • Experience supporting avionics, system level, or ground support equipment testing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
  • Experience reviewing flight telemetry and interpreting that system behaved in accordance with test executed
  • Experience in Electronics troubleshooting or anomaly investigation
  • Security + Certification or ability to obtain
  • Experience executing electrical testing on flight hardware on a fully integrated vehicle
  • Experience in Aerospace or Defense industry (development or test)

    Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
