Job Details:

Summary:
This position is responsible for providing technical support to producers in the care and management of company poultry. Key responsibilities include advising on building and equipment specifications, litter management, and farm sanitation. The role involves conducting farm visits, documenting bird welfare, managing flock performance, and adjusting equipment settings as needed.

Additional duties include directing feed and lighting schedules, monitoring bird health, egg production, body weight, and overall condition, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. The position also requires tracking feed consumption, collecting blood and fat samples as required, coordinating bird placements, assisting with catch schedules, and maintaining effective communication with the hatchery, feed mill, vaccination crews, and live-haul teams.

This role ensures compliance with production contracts and all applicable USDA and government regulations, with the goal of producing high-quality flocks efficiently and cost-effectively.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year related experience
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency required
  • Travel: Occasional travel (1-5 trips per year)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior poultry experience is highly advantageous.
