Cryptologic Computer Scientist, Level 3 Fort Meade, MD Full Time Cybersecurity Experienced What You Will Do: As a Cryptologic Computer Scientist, Level 3 at Independent Software, you will apply advanced computer science, programming, and analytical skills to support access discovery and enablement activities. You will work with mission data and technical tools to identify opportunities, summarize and characterize data, and develop automated solutions that support mission requirements. In this role, you will work with XKS and DX, develop automation and scripting solutions using Python, and create Jupyter Notebooks to support data analysis and technical workflows. Key Responsibilities:
  * Support access discovery and enablement activities * Analyze, characterize, and summarize mission data using available tools and analytical techniques * Work with XKS and DX to support technical and analytical mission requirements * Develop Python scripts and automation to improve analytical and operational workflows * Develop and maintain Jupyter Notebooks for data analysis, exploration, and repeatable workflows * Apply computer science and software engineering principles to complex technical problems * Develop tools, scripts, and capabilities that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of mission activities * Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify relevant patterns, relationships, and opportunities * Document technical approaches, analytical methods, and findings * Work independently and collaboratively to develop solutions to complex mission problems
Required Skills and Qualifications:
 
* Strong computer science and software development background * Experience with access discovery and/or access enablement activities * Experience working with XKS and DX * Proficiency with Python programming and scripting * Experience developing automation solutions using Python * Experience developing and working with Jupyter Notebooks * Experience analyzing, summarizing, or characterizing complex data * Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, programming languages, and software development principles * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to independently research and develop technical solutions Experience with C++ is a plus. Education and Experience: Candidates must meet one of the following:
 
* Doctoral degree plus four (4) years of relevant experience * Master’s degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience * Bachelor’s degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience * Associate degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience Additional requirements:
 
* Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field * Degree coursework must include at least one programming course and four upper-level mathematics courses at the Calculus level or higher Relevant experience must include at least one of the following:
