Job description

Summary:

Completes drafting assignments including drawings, dimensioning, material take-off, reports and simple layouts.

Reporting Structure:

Sr. Project Manager, Project Manager, Discipline Engineer, Discipline Designer, Higher Level Drafter.

Education/Experience:

A two-year technical associate’s degree in a Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Architectural discipline, featuring CAD instruction and computer skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete drawings in accordance with Company and Customer Standards including all line work, dimensioning, cross references and CAD requirements.
  • Coordinate the work with other discipline and project team members.
  • Prepare material take-offs, lists and schedules as assigned to complete project documentation.
  • Travel to project meetings or job sites to aid in project completion.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to use Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) tools to prepare models and drawings according to Project Requirements, Customer’s Standards, and Company’s Standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret Vendor and project drawings and documentation as required to complete assignments.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets and word processing tasks.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The ability to work overtime, 10 to 20 hours per week when workload is necessary, is required. Some domestic travel may be required.
