Athenix Special Missions is looking to hire a Special Operations Forces Training Analysis Feedback Facility Analyst (TAFF) in the Fort Irwin, CA region.

This individual will become part of the plans team that will assists in the analysis of the SOF RTU to include CA and MISO planning and operations in order to provide relevant and doctrinally correct AAR information.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide twenty-four (24) hour manning and radio coverage of the SOF TAFF.
  • Track, monitor, collect, and analyze data from multiple sources to include CTC OIS, CPOF, Radios, and instant messaging; besides voice and messaging, the data will also be in the form of pictures and videos.
  • Collect reports from SOF military personnel and other contract personnel during the conduct of SOF activities. The SOF TAFF will log, sort and use the data to assist in the construction of AAR products and provide them to the SOF/ OC/Ts. The SOF TAFF will also deconflict SOF actions through the CF TAFFs.
  • Assist in daily analysis briefings with SOF military leadership and other civilian personnel. The SUB shall capture meeting minutes and provide them to the appropriate NTC SOF Plans member no later than (2) two hours after the meeting has ended.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of AAR for SOF personnel training. The SOF TAFF will collect and process SOF pictures and video for integration into AARs and THPs.
  • Input AAR data into the JLLIS.
  • Conduct operational and doctrinal research and organize collected information for use in other tasks.
  • Communicate over assigned radio using military communications procedures.
  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule with the potential for extended hours; up to 12 hours per shift.
  • Able to articulate military style writing when transcribing radio communications into written reports.
  • Assist the SOF Plans section during non-training rotational hours.
  • Analyze data provided by OC/Ts for incorporation into other products.
  • Provide regular reports and timely responses to requests for information to the SOF OC/Ts and the combat training center SOF.
  • Facilitate communication between the SOF OC/Ts, the CF OC/Ts and the Tactical Operations Center.
  • Track all SOF Operations.
  • Monitor CTC OIS, CPOF, Radios and other computer and cellular instant messaging applications.
  • Assist in the construction of (1) one SOF After Action Review.
  • Research Special Operations doctrine.
  • Participate in events that support and facilitate SOF collective training such as initial planning conferences, leader training programs and pre-deployment site surveys.
  • Be able to coordinate multiple operations simultaneously.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work shift work with extended hours, up to 12 hours per shift
  • Able to articulate military style writing when transcribing radio communications into written reports
  • Must be familiar with Army Ranger, Special Forces, and Joint Special Operations Forces doctrine
  • Must be familiar with MS Office Suite.
  • Perform duties and travel in extreme weather conditions and at height (helicopter travel, mountain tops, elevated walk areas and towers)

Preferred qualifications are as follows:

  • Minimum of (3) years of military or equivalent experience
  • Graduation from Battle Staff Course or one of the following Schools; Ranger School, Officer Basic Course, Officer Advanced Course or Advanced NCO Course
  • Experience with Special Operations Joint Task Forces, Combined/ Joint Special Operations Task Forces, and / or other SOF structures

Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Secret / Eligible for TS
