Employers typically look for practical experience, coding skills, and a portfolio of projects, which can be demonstrated through self-study, online courses, or bootcamps. This opens up opportunities for individuals who have developed their Python skills outside of traditional academic paths.

What types of projects or tasks can candidates without a degree expect to work on in a Python developer role?

Depending on the company, you may collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, project managers, and other developers. Success in the role often depends on your portfolio, coding proficiency, and ability to solve real-world problems rather than your educational background. Demonstrating your skills through GitHub contributions or personal projects can help you secure more complex and interesting assignments over time.
