Responsibilities

  • Design and support DC power supply systems for electrochemical equipment, process skids, test stands, and industrial-scale cell systems.
  • Develop electrical requirements, calculations, equipment specifications, wiring concepts, controls interfaces, and integration documentation for e-chem systems.
  • Coordinate power supply selection and integration with electrochemical cell design, mechanical equipment, instrumentation, controls, and safety systems.
  • Support design reviews, hazard reviews, test planning, troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance verification activities.
  • Evaluate thermal, electrical, safety, reliability, maintainability, and manufacturability considerations associated with high-current DC power systems.
  • Document design decisions, technical risks, equipment interfaces, and configuration-controlled requirements in accordance with project expectations.

Requirements

  • Experience designing or supporting DC power supply systems for electrochemical, electroplating, metallurgy, or similar industrial process applications.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles related to power conversion, conductors, bus work, controls interfaces, grounding, insulation, and equipment protection.
  • Ability to translate process and electrochemical requirements into practical electrical equipment specifications and design inputs.
  • Experience working with custom equipment, industrial systems, fabrication teams, or multidisciplinary engineering groups.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a technical environment requiring careful documentation, quality, and configuration control.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with electroplating, metallurgy, molten salt electrochemistry, electrodeposition, electrowinning, or industrial electrochemical cells.
