Position: Senior Quality Engineer (Receiving Inspection & Supplier Quality), Req#: 17750-1
Location: Draper, UT (100% Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract with high possibility of extension

Job Description:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific field.
  • Minimum 4 years of Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, or Receiving Inspection experience.
  • Experience in a regulated industry such as Medical Device, Aerospace, Automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting incoming/receiving inspection activities and manufacturing operations.

Preferred Experience

  • Medical device industry experience.
  • Implantable devices, catheter delivery systems, or other precision medical products.
  • Injection molding, extrusion, machining, or related manufacturing processes.
  • Keyence Vision Systems or other automated visual inspection systems.
  • Commercial launch or new product introduction support.
  • SolidWorks experience is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Receiving Inspection activities, including component inspections, test method execution, data review, and investigation of non-conforming materials.
  • Support products and components used in implantable medical devices, catheter delivery systems, and other highly regulated medical device applications.
  • Perform and support Gage R&R studies, measurement system analysis, process capability studies, and other statistical quality activities to ensure product and process performance.
  • Investigate and manage non-conformances (NCRs), root cause analyses, corrective actions (CAPAs), and quality-related issues through effective problem-solving methodologies.
  • Provide quality engineering support for supplier-related issues, incoming material quality concerns, and manufacturing operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve inspection methods, inspection plans, and quality control processes for critical components and assemblies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Receiving Inspection, Supplier Quality, and Operations teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support commercial launch activities through component qualification, inspection readiness, quality assessments, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate quality metrics and inspection data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in supplier quality activities, including investigations, corrective actions, and quality performance monitoring.
