Nippon Express U.S.A., Inc. ("NEU") was incorporated in New York in 1962 as a fully owned subsidiary of NX.  NEU provides logistics solutions and comprehensive transportation services through its international freight forwarding and logistics network, including specialized handling of: air, land, sea and express packages; all types and sizes of cargo; personal effects and household goods; fragile and perishable freight; and livestock.  NEU also provides related services, such as warehousing, distribution and customs brokerage and clearance. NEU operates at 55 locations in 27 states within the U.S., with approximately 1300 employees.  NEU has enjoyed tremendous growth and success as one of the top five international freight forwarders in the world. Salary Pay Range: 

Min $20.43 HourlyMax $30.67 Hourly This salary range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.Responsibilities

Ability to effectively communicate with the customer to properly prepare necessary documents to coordinate a residential or organizational move.

Customer Service: ability to effectively communicate by email or phone with the customer to complete necessary documents required to coordinate the move

Ensure all documentation relating to shipment is properly completed as required

Interact closely with the moving team in preparation of the customer goods

Coordinate with the moving team to ensure proper packing, removing and loading of customer's goods

Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the moving team

General business support function as assigned

Qualifications

Bilingual English/ Japanese; ability to read, write & speak English and Japanese

Computer skills to include data entry and the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Ability to clearly communicate directions to the driver and moving team

Ability to work overtime to meet the customer's needs

Strong customer service skills

At least 1 year of experience in customer service

Ability to drive Cargo Vans
