Overview

 Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.  

Goldbelt Integrated Logistics Services (GbILS) provides four specific areas of expertise—Logistics Engineering, Measurement Sciences, Program Management, and Technical Support—serving the scientific, technical, and engineering needs of clients. GbILS values its innovative thinking and service-oriented team who provide services for a variety of federal government and commercial clients.  

Summary:

We seek an individual to provide SharePoint Support Services to work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will be placed as a GbILS contractor at a CDC facility.  CDC is the nation’s premier health promotion, prevention, and preparedness agency.  This individual will report to GbILS senior leadership and be responsible for providing SharePoint Support Services to DNPAO and DHDSP. This position will be a part time position working on the client site at the CDC Chamblee Campus.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan, design, create, modify, and maintain DNPAO and DHDSP division-level internal and external-facing SharePoint sites using out-of-the-box document management, workflow, and collaboration functions.
    • Sites will support collaboration across workgroups and units within the Division, the Office of the Director, the Science Unit, the Policy Unit and Branches for both divisions.
    • Each will have libraries and team sites.
    • Design specifications will be consistent with “out-of-the-box” SharePoint.
    • Nintex forms and workflows will often be necessary
  • Manage and assign permissions and access rights for DNPAO and DHDSP sites and provide guidance to DNPAO and DHDSP project leads and managers on these topics.
  • Develop a standard operating procedure document that the Division can use to inform all staff of protocols and rules related to use of the SharePoint sites.
  • This will include submission of an outline, 2 drafts and a final version.
  • Maintain repository of documentation for construction and coding of SharePoint sites
  • Provide advice, technical consultation and guidance to customers by analyzing and resolving problems and evaluating alternative means of satisfying user requirements.
  • Establish a “help desk” concept- a standardized way for staff in each division to email or call in their SharePoint questions, and a way to track and record the resolution of these questions
  • Provide annual SharePoint Trainings to staff: Topics to include: What is SharePoint; navigating SharePoint; creating lists and libraries; creating alerts; developing calendars; creating and managing list views; etc.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Nintex development, administration, permissions, forms, and workflows.
  • Skill in analyzing requirements, troubleshooting issues, and developing technical solutions.
  • Skill in creating and maintaining SOPs, technical documentation, and user guidance.
  • Ability to manage and track SharePoint user support and help desk requests.
  • Ability to develop and deliver SharePoint training to technical and nontechnical users.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 2 years of SharePoint experience.
  • Experience with Nintex forms and workflows.
  • Experience with SharePoint permissions, lists, libraries, views, and site configuration.
  • Experience providing technical support, documentation, SOP development, and end-user training.
  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDC clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Any related professional certifications.
