Nikon AM Synergy Inc. is a leading provider of advanced manufacturing solutions specializing in metal additive manufacturing (AM), CNC machining, and precision secondary processes for the defense, aerospace, aviation, and industrial sectors. Operating from the Nikon AM Technology Center, a 90,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art, ultra-secure facility in Long Beach, California, we provide end-to-end engineering and manufacturing services, including material and equipment qualification, Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM), part design, prototyping, production, CNC machining, finishing, inspection, and certification. As the engineering and manufacturing services arm of Nikon Advanced Manufacturing, working in collaboration with Nikon SLM Solutions, we deliver integrated solutions that help customers qualify, manufacture, and scale mission-critical components for commercial and government applications across the United States.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving/Driver to oversee daily shipping, receiving, material handling, inventory support, and transportation activities. This role will ensure materials and high-value aerospace/defense parts are accurately received, packaged, documented, stored, and safely transported between vendors, customers, and company facilities. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities.
  • Inspect, package, label, stage, and document incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, records, and material traceability.
  • Safely operate company vehicles for pickups and deliveries.
  • Load, unload, and secure materials using pallet jacks, carts, lifts, and forklifts.
  • Verify part numbers, purchase orders, shipping documents, and delivery information.
  • Communicate delivery schedules, delays, discrepancies, and quality concerns.
  • Handle high-value aerospace and defense hardware with care.
  • Maintain compliance with company safety, quality, AS9100, and ITAR requirements.
  • Provide daily status updates and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Valid Class C driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET Security Clearance.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital documentation tools.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and follow PPE and safety requirements.

Preferred Experience
  • Supervisory or coordination experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Aerospace, defense, space, or advanced manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with AS9100 and/or ITAR requirements.
  • Additive manufacturing experience.
