Job description

Pay starts at: $21 per hour (Pay is based on experience)

Pay differentials:

PM or Night Shifts: Additional $2 shift differential

Plus, an additional 10% Weekend Differential for all shifts


PRN shifts available:Day Shift 6:30AM - 2:30PMPM Shift 2:30PM - 10:30PMNight Shift 10:30PM - 6:30AM

What you bring to the table:
  • Must be IDPH Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Must be CPR certified
  • Must possess good computer skills.
  • Long Term Care experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates caring and compassionate nature
  • CNA candidate must be a team player, have a positive outlook and excellent problem solving skills.
  • Maintains neat, professional appearance
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists with all ADL's
  • Tasks required to maintain good hygiene, grooming, comfort and the overall well-being of residents
  • Charts all care, supplies, etc. using electronic medical records system
  • Answers all call lights promptly


Schedule Requirements PRN

      PRN staff must be available to work various day, evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts.

      PRN staff must contact the Nursing Department scheduler to discuss availability prior to the schedule being finalized for the month.

      In cases where PRN staff is scheduled but not needed, the Nursing Department scheduler or a charge nurse will make every attempt to notify the scheduled    PRN staff at their listed contact number two hours prior to the scheduled shift, or as soon thereafter, as possible.


Minimum Schedule Commitment

      Minimum Schedule commitment excludes mandatory training and educational activities as scheduled by SSL.

      PRN staff will be required to work four seven and one-half (7 ) hour shifts per month, two of which must be on a weekend. Denial of assignment four times within one year may result in corrective action up to and including immediate termination.

      PRN staff will be required to provide Employer at least one (1) week each month during which PRN will be available to work upon two (2) hours' notice.

      PRN staff must work a minimum of one summer holiday and one winter holiday per year as assigned.
