Position Summary

The TIG Welder (Night Shift) is responsible for welding fabricated metal components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, welding procedures, and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality expansion joints and related piping products while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency during night shift operations. Must have 3 years TIG experience and must pass TIG 3G Testing.


Key Responsibilities

Perform TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials

Must be able to weld plate to plate (very thin) and plate to flat bar

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and specifications

Set up and operate welding equipment according to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)

Ensure welds meet dimensional, visual, and quality requirements

Conduct in-process inspections and make adjustments as needed

Use fabrication tools such as grinders, torches, and hand tools

Safely operate overhead cranes and material-handling equipment

Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

Complete required documentation, travelers, checklists, and work orders

Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements, LOTO, and crane protocols

Requirements

Qualifications

A minimum 3 Years' Experience Preferred

Proven experience with TIG welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

Ability to read and interpret welding symbols and fabrication drawings

Familiarity with welding carbon steel and stainless-steel components

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work independently on night shift

Knowledge of shop safety standards and procedures
