Job description

RN - Cardiac Unit - Night Shift
Full-Time / Competitive Compensation / Excellent Benefits Package

This full-time night shift opportunity offers the chance to provide high-acuity care to patients with complex cardiac conditions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Ideal for RNs looking to specialize or advance in cardiac care, this role blends technical skill, teamwork, and growth potential.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN or MSN preferred)
  • Active RN license in New Jersey
  • BLS certification required upon hire
  • ACLS and Critical Care Course required within 12 months of hire
  • Dysrhythmia course required within 6 months
  • National certification in cardiac or critical care nursing preferred
  • 8 hours of annual stroke education required
  • Must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 6 months of hire and complete within 3 years if not already completed
What You Will Do:
  • Deliver specialized care to cardiac step-down patients recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions
  • Perform detailed assessments, monitor cardiac rhythms, and support recovery plans
  • Administer medications, therapies, and interventions with precision and care
  • Document all patient care accurately in the electronic health record
  • Work closely with cardiologists, care coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and follow-up care
