  • Job Title: Night Supervisor
  • Location: Carrollton, TX
  • Role Summary:
  • The Night Supervisor is a critical position responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of nightly activities. This role encompasses the management of staff, the execution of vehicle checks, the efficient debriefing using Excel systems, the administration of courier paperwork, and the facilitation of effective communication through emails and reports.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all operations during the night shift to ensure that workflows are executed promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct and oversee endofday vehicle inspections, ensuring that all vehicles comply with operational standards prior to handover of the shift.
  • Manage the debriefing process utilizing Excelbased systems, ensuring that data is accurately recorded for operational reporting and analysis.
  • Oversee the processing of courier paperwork, verifying completion and adherence to company and client standards.
  • Respond promptly to emails that arise outside of regular hours, ensuring effective communication with customers, drivers, and management as necessary.
  • Take the lead in the hiring process by supervising interviews, conducting inductions, and facilitating the onboarding of new night shift personnel in accordance with company procedures.
  • Monitor staff performance throughout the shift, professionally addressing any issues that arise and escalating them as necessary.
  • Ensure the completion of all endofday processes, which includes finalizing paperwork, reports, and operational logs for handover to day management.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment in strict accordance with the companyโ€™s health and safety policies.
  • Execute any additional reasonable duties as directed by management to support business operations.
  • Key Requirements:
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in a transport, logistics, or warehouse environment (night shift experience preferred).
  • Proficient in the use of Excel for data entry, debriefing, and report preparation.
  • Extensive experience in managing courier paperwork and operational compliance documentation.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage the hiring process, including the shortlisting, interviewing, and induction of new employees.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally to operational emails.
