Pharmacist – Night Shift | Lancaster, TX

Millbrook Support Services is seeking skilled and dedicated Pharmacists to support operations during the night shift in Lancaster, TX. In this essential role, you'll contribute to the accurate and efficient preparation and verification of prescription medications. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a high-volume, mission-driven environment serving our nation's veterans.

Position Overview

As a Night Shift Pharmacist, you will provide oversight of pharmacy technicians, review and verify prescription orders, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold the highest standards of pharmaceutical care. You will collaborate closely with fellow pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and operational leadership to ensure the safe and timely delivery of prescription medications within a federally regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, interpret, and verify prescription orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
  • Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in daily operations, including dispensing and data entry.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and VA pharmacy regulations and standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Monitor medication inventory for accuracy, security, and compliance.
  • Resolve prescription or patient-related issues, including clarifications and discrepancies.
  • Document interventions, order verifications, and other clinical activities as required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain operational efficiency and meet performance goals.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.

Licensure & Certification:

  • Active and in good standing with a State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Authorized to dispense controlled substances.

Experience:

  • Preferred: At least one (1) year of experience in a pharmacy setting (mail order, hospital, retail, or federal facility).
  • Experience in a high-volume or automated pharmacy environment is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage time effectively in a fast-paced night shift environment.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
