Job Title Linux Systems Engineer / Hybrid Cloud Engineering Job Summary
Your position involves managing the system platforms, including build and upgrade, query review and tuning, and production support, and related infrastructure and administration services for mission-critical systems in a fast-paced environment . You will report to the VP manager of Systems Engineering / Hybrid Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Group and will require strong team interaction with Systems, application and development staff/peers, other engineering, and operations group members within the IT organization, as well as with application and business development teams.

Core Capabilities:
Strong Linux skill set across provisioning, supporting, securing, and troubleshooting Linux.

Strong Server hardware trouble shooting skills (Dell Servers preferred).
Practical understanding of networking such as network bonding, routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP, & VLANs.
Understanding of basic disk configuration work for Linux servers (file system creation, expansion, migration, and troubleshooting).?Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Requirements:
5 Years Linux experience
5 Hardware Server experience
5 Red Hat / CentOS experience

Preferable Experience:

Provides support for Linux/Centos/RHEL Servers and Infrastructure, both on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and on-site.
Plans upgrades of hardware and applications / systems enhancements / OS patches / HW patches, firmware.
Develops and conducts tests to ensure solutions meet documented user requirements.
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
Working knowledge of VMware virtualization using vCenter.
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) support experience.
Performing hardware maintenance and repair activities using DRAC/ILOM.

Respond, investigate, and resolve technical incidents requiring advanced problem-solving analysis and use of advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues.
Scripting, automation, and familiarity with Puppet/Ansible is preferred.
Work with Facilities to troubleshoot server related network and SAN issues.
Initiate server problems with Vendors and coordinate with Facilities for onsite repair.
