Job description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician for our Second Shift!
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Technician ensures that all products produced during 2nd shift meet Taher's strict food safety, quality, and compliance standards. This role is responsible for monitoring production practices, conducting inspections and testing, supporting HACCP/FSMA requirements, and documenting all QA activities.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Food Safety Monitoring
Perform in-process inspections, product checks, and quality testing throughout the shift.
Verify HACCP, CCP, and pre-op checks are completed and documented.
Monitor metal detector and equipment verification processes.
Production Support
  • Work closely with production leads to identify and correct quality concerns.
  • Support root-cause investigation for any deviations or non-conformances.
  • Assist with QA holds, corrective actions, and documentation.

Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate QA logs, CCP records, and inspection sheets.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, SQF, and regulatory standards.
  • Report any food safety or quality risks immediately to QA leadership.

Sanitation & Environmental Oversight
  • Conduct ATP swabs, environmental monitoring, and allergen verification as needed.
  • Ensure proper GMP practices are followed throughout the shift.

Qualifications
  • 1--3 years of food manufacturing QA or production experience preferred.
  • Understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, testing procedures, and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in recordkeeping.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on 2nd shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and move throughout the production facility.
