Job description

Role:Python-Fullstack Engineer

Location: Sacramento, CA โ€“ (Need to be on-site for onboarding and initial setup Tuesday-Thursday afterwards remote with visit once in a month)

Duration: 4+ Month

Job Description Technology Stack
  • Our main application is a custom-built web-powered school management software. This system
  • Directly integrates with our student information system and other 3rd party systems
  • Google Workspace and Zoom).
Infrastructure

Our infrastructure is hosted on AWS and utilizes EC2, RDS, and Auto Scaling Groups as the

main services. Along with ElastiCache (Redis), step functions, S3, and SNS as supporting services. Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem and CDK (cloud development kit) is welcomed

but not required.

Backend System

Our main application utilizes a Python backend using MySQL database, peewee ORM, and

flask web framework.

Frontend System

Our main application utilizes Angular for the frontend with compiled HTML, JS, and CSS being

hosted on CloudFront with S3 storage.

Data Integration / Pipeline (New System)

As part of this project, we will be building a new data integration system to support integrating

multiple instances of our student information system (SIS) with our main application.

  • Transition data import logic from backend system to data integration system
  • Assisting with integration changes to 3rd party systems from the main application
  • Assist in the quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing portion of the new school project
