Senior Software Engineer, Python Programmer
Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Python Programming or applications to join our team in Chicago. In this role, you will support the development and delivery of applications based on Python and AWS, Azure cloud platform. You will collaborate with dynamic teams committed to maintaining high standards of quality, performance, and scalability for Fitch's Ratings workflow systems. Objectives of this role
  • Develop, test and maintain high-quality software using Python programming language.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, building, testing and delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Write clean and reusable code that can be easily maintained and scaled.

Your tasks
  • Work on technically complex systems with strong hands-on experience in design and development.
  • Interpret complex requirements associated with Ratings workflow tools.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensure code quality and identify areas for improvement to implement practical solutions.
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines for projects and integrate them with the organization's delivery mechanisms.

Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
