JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Promote and uphold the highest standards of safety for oneself and others during daily activities.

· Oversee all trials and sampling activities, ensuring the availability of essential resources and the successful completion of each trial.

· Demonstrate the ability to make necessary process adjustments to control defects and meet the quality objectives outlined in customer specifications.

· Reviewing Quality Window trends when adjusting ensure effective solutions.

· Educate and train Line Leads, Operators, and other relevant employees to troubleshoot productivity and quality issues effectively.

· Manage product recipes across all processes with a focus on optimization.

· Process Resource

o Assist production teams in their daily operations by proactively identifying and addressing problem areas.

o Engage in daily process troubleshooting to uncover root cause solutions.

· Process and Product Improvement involves a thorough analysis of goals, output rates, utilization, and downtime to identify deviations and potential areas for enhancement across all operations. Analyze process/product goals, output rates, utilization, downtime, and determine the deviations to define potential areas of improvement in all operations.

o It is essential to recommend comprehensive process and product improvements, which may include equipment modifications and upgrades, and to actively pursue the implementation of these changes.

o Staying up-to-updated on emerging technologies is crucial for making informed recommendations.

o Collaboration with manufacturing and process engineering teams is necessary to implement authorized process modifications effectively.

o Acts as a round-the-clock technical resource to support Shift Supervisors in resolving quality and operational issues on the production lines.

· Process and Product Development involves close collaboration with relevant research and development personnel, as well as manufacturing and process engineering teams throughout trial work.

o It is essential to effectively communicate developmental progress to the appropriate plant personnel.

o Additionally, it is important to document Standard Operating Conditions for all plant trials.

· New Product Launch

o Collaborate closely with manufacturing and process engineering teams during the initial production runs of new products. Identify and communicate any areas of concern to the Process Engineering Manager and Operations Manager.

· Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs) should be reviewed and updated annually in collaboration with the manufacturing and process engineering teams. Review and update all SOC’s annually in coordination with manufacturing and process engineering teams.

o Additionally, SOCs must be developed for new processes in conjunction with these teams.

o It is essential to update SOCs whenever a process undergoes modification.

· Provide input to the Quality Assurance team during the development of specifications.

o Collaborate directly with the scheduling team for all new customer trials.

o Additionally, update fabric widths as necessary.

· Operator Training

o Assist in training operators on the proper operation of new or upgraded equipment as needed. Provide Statistical Process Control (SPC) and laboratory training for operators as required.

· Coordinates all aspects of new customer trials, including laboratory support, procurement of necessary raw materials, execution of the trial, and ensuring that the customer receives the final product.

· Travel to customer sites for process support on new products or benchmarking as needed.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

To successfully fulfill this role, an individual must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory standard. The requirements outlined below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the position. a) Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, while an undergraduate degree in a related field is preferred.

b) Experience: A minimum of three years of manufacturing experience is required. Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and writing skills. Strong proficiency in mathematics and grammar is also essential.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Work is performed in an office and manufacturing environment with frequent contact with customers.

· Manufacturing environment may be humid and hot or cold depending on seasonal conditions. Exposed to hot &/or abrasive surfaces.

· Occasionally, required to be in tight spaces

EFFORT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Language Skills:

o Proficient in reading and interpreting various documents, including safety regulations, operating procedures, and process manuals. Skilled in composing technical reports and routine correspondence. Capable of effectively managing technical resources and delivering presentations confidently to groups.

· Reasoning Ability:

o Demonstrates the capability to address practical challenges and manage diverse concrete variables in scenarios with minimal standardization. Possesses the skill to interpret various forms of instructions, whether they are presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled formats.

· Physical Demands:

o Requires prolonged sitting and frequent bending, stooping and stretching, manual dexterity.

o Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.

o Required to frequently ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast-moving machinery.

o Required to safely access fast moving machinery, which includes rolls with inward nip points.

o Ability to work outside normal scheduled working hours when needed in a 24/7/365 operation.
