Position Title: Equipment Shift Engineer

Description:

An Equipment Shift Engineer specializes in the operation, maintenance, and optimization of manufacturing equipment, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous operation of production systems. This role is responsible for supporting equipment installations, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and minimizing production downtime.


Work Schedule:

  • This position requires working 12-hour continental shifts and candidates must be available to work either of the following schedules:

Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Central Time)

Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Central Time)


  • Interviews will be conducted onsite at our Mesquite TX Facility. During your interview, please indicate your preferred shift (Day Shift or Night Shift). While we will take your preference into consideration, final shift assignment will be determined based on business needs and operational requirements.


Qualified candidates will be invited to interview onsite August 13 or August 14.

Responsibilities


  • Provide equipment-related technical support for ongoing production operations, including maintenance, spare parts, repairs, and documentation of support activities.
  • Train and assist employees on the proper operation of manufacturing equipment and troubleshoot equipment-related issues.
  • Ensure efficient repair scheduling and review repair cost estimates.
  • Track equipment downtime and recommend strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce production interruptions.
  • Implement and promote equipment safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing and executing Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules to maximize equipment performance and uptime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and production performance.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  • Must be willing and able to work 12-hour continental shifts (days or nights) based on business needs.
  • Familiarity with engineering and equipment-related software.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
