Job description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Controls Electrician to perform commercial electrical installations for HVAC controls and building automation (BAS) systems. This field-based role focuses on installing conduit, pulling wire, terminating devices, and supporting the installation of control systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
The ideal candidate has a strong commercial electrical background, excellent conduit-bending skills, and the ability to interpret electrical drawings. Prior HVAC controls or BAS experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided for candidates with solid electrical installation experience.
Responsibilities
  • Install EMT, rigid conduit, and electrical raceways for HVAC controls and BAS projects.
  • Bend and install primarily 3/4-inch EMT and rigid conduit while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Pull wire, terminate devices, and complete electrical installations for control systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical plans, wiring diagrams, and construction documents.
  • Assist with the installation and startup of HVAC control panels, sensors, and field devices.
  • Coordinate with controls technicians, electricians, mechanical contractors, and project managers to complete installations efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and perform field modifications as required.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and jobsite procedures.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
  • Deliver professional, high-quality workmanship on every project.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of commercial electrical installation experience.
  • Strong experience bending and installing 3/4-inch EMT and rigid conduit.
  • Experience working on commercial, industrial, or institutional construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Experience pulling wire, terminating devices, and completing electrical installations.
  • HVAC controls, BAS, or building automation experience is preferred but not required.
  • Residential-only electrical experience will not be considered.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to learn HVAC controls and building automation systems.
