Sanitation Technician- Night Shift
Department: Sanitation
Reports To: Sanitation Supervisor
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable Sanitation Technician to support overnight cleaning operations. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment, with a primary focus on dishroom operations, including cleaning and sanitizing dishware, utensils, and related equipment. The position also supports general facility and equipment cleaning in accordance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform dishroom sanitation duties, including cleaning and sanitizing dishware, utensils, racks, and dishroom equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishroom area throughout the shift
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and facility areas as assigned
• Use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers safely and in accordance with guidelines
• Operate sanitation equipment such as pressure washers, foamers, floor machines, and dishroom systems
• Perform cleaning in wet, fast-paced environments
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and instructions from supervisors
• Maintain compliance with food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Use tools such as mops, brooms, vacuums, and scrapers effectively
• Support additional sanitation and facility needs as assigned
Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move wheeled carts using proper equipment and safe handling techniques
• Comfortable working overnight shifts in a production environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a wet, fast-paced dishroom setting
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
• Comfortable working around moisture, heat, and cleaning chemicals
• Ability to read and follow safety instructions and chemical labels
• Reliable attendance and ability to follow direction
