Job description

Aerotek is hiring Night Shift Warehouse and Production Operators in New Castle, DE for immediate openings! This is a full-time day shift position working Monday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM (five 10-hour shifts per week). Enjoy weekly pay and start your new career today.

The operator supports daily manufacturing operations by preparing, packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished products. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to perform physical tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Wrap finished product rolls in accordance with established quality standards.
  • Affix accurate product labels to completed material to ensure proper identification and traceability.
  • Palletize finished material in a safe, organized, and efficient manner.
  • Apply stretch wrap to pallets to prepare products for storage and shipment.
  • Inspect products for quality, identifying and reporting any defects or discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
  • Follow all company safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operating guidelines.
  • Assist with general production line activities, including machine operation, compounding, and assembly line tasks as assigned.
  • Support warehouse functions such as material handling, packaging, and staging of products.
  • Operate a forklift when certified and authorized, including sit-down forklift operation, as needed.
  • Adapt quickly to new tasks and equipment following training and cross-training opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • Previous manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience preferred, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly after training.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines consistently.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Comfort working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, including production lines and machine operation.
  • Ability to walk, bend, and reach for extended periods while performing production and material handling tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Forklift experience or certification preferred but not required; sit-down forklift experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with general production, assembly line work, and warehousing is beneficial.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes, and production line operations is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Castle, DE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
