Mfg Direct - Assembly - Assembly Operator

Position Description:

Perform assigned duties at combo assembly stations to make sure products comply with specifications. In the event of absence, another trained Combo Assembly Operator will assume duties. The employee wilI also follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) rules and procedures pertaining this job as outlined in the training program.

Essential Functions:

  • Work in assigned combo assembly area on daily basis.

  • Understands and follows Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) Procedures.

  • Follow instructions given by Supervisor and Group Leader.

  • Understands and follow One Piece Flow and 5's systems.

  • Understand and Run Kan Ban system for inventory parts in combo assembly area. As required.

  • Make sure production complies with specifications for quality requirements.

  • Notifies Group Leaders and Supervisors if any problems arise with product.

  • Ensures correct packaging of product.

  • Fill out paperwork related to the combo assembly assignments, including auxiliar equipment data.

  • Clean work area during shift and before shift change.

  • Performs any work-related duty assigned by immediate supervisor.

  • Cover Cell Leader or Group Leader absences and leave.

  • Follow safety policies and procedures.

  • Performs any related duty assigned by immediate supervisor.

  • Flexibility to possible extensions in schedules.

Education:

High School Diploma, Associate degree preferred.

Job Experience:

  • One (1) year or more experience in Assembly Product Industry or Pharmaceutical Industry as Assembly Operator.

           Two (2) years of experience in manufacturing environment as Molding Operator.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, shop-order instructions, and memos.

  • Ability to write correspondence.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
