The Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / STNA provides hands-on care, comfort, and safety in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Position Summary – Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / STNA

As a Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / STNA, you will enhance the quality of life for residents by assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring their condition, and promoting dignity and respect in every interaction. The Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / STNA works under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and reports directly to the Director of Nursing.

Essential Responsibilities – Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / STNA

  • Provide nighttime care including bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, and safe repositioning.

  • Assist residents with evening snacks, hydration, and any needed meal support during the Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / STNA schedule.

  • Observe residents throughout the night and promptly report changes in condition or behavior to the nurse.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided by the Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / STNA.

  • Keep resident rooms and common areas clean, organized, and safe to support a calm, homelike nighttime environment.

  • Respond quickly to call lights and support residents with toileting, comfort care, and safety needs.

  • Follow all facility policies, infection control practices, and safety procedures.

Qualifications – Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / STNA

  • Current and valid CNA or STNA certification in the state of Ohio.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively as a Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / STNA with residents, families, and staff.

  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team and contribute to a positive night shift culture.

  • Physical ability for a fast-paced care setting, including lifting, turning, standing, and walking for extended periods.

  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

  • Attention to detail and understanding of resident care policies and procedures.
