Job description

Amazon's Central Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering organization ensures that our global fulfillment and operations networks run safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. We are seeking a Sr. Manager - Product Tech to own the product vision, strategy, and lifecycle for the RME technology suite serving Field and Central RME operations.

This is a high-ambiguity, high-impact role where the business opportunity and product strategy may not yet be defined. You will drive clarity, define the long-term strategic vision, and own the product roadmap for a suite of technology products spanning hardware and software telemetry, hardware and software maintenance technology management, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation across Amazon's global fulfillment network. You deeply understand your customers needs, the business landscape, product functionality, and backend technologies.

You bring clarity to complexity, probe assumptions, drive innovation, and foster shared understanding and continuous improvement. You define what we build, why we build it, and ensure we address current and future RME technology needs.
Key job responsibilities
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the RME global technology product suite defining strategic vision, long-term roadmap, and driving execution across hardware, software, IoT sensor networks, edge computing, prescriptive maintenance platforms, and field operations technology
Work backwards from Field RME customer needs to define problems, CX, tenets, and product strategy through PR/FAQs and field research, translating technician workflows, controls engineering requirements, and site-level operational data into product specifications
Serve as the technical product authority and primary liaison between Field RME and Central RME engineering bridging hardware, software, and data systems into cohesive product solutions
Maintain deep technical fluency deconstructing complex RME system and infrastructure level ideas and opportunities into engineering-ready propositions
Drive technical product governance frameworks, standards, and mechanisms across the product technology lifecycle - innovation through deprecation
Champion AI/ML including Agentic AI, predictive failure models, anomaly detection, and intelligent automation driving the shift from reactive break-fix to sensor-driven, data-informed prescriptive maintenance at scale
Evaluate emerging technologies, build, improve, or integrate, assessing feasibility, compatibility, interoperability, and scalability through proof-of-concept engineering
Prioritize for greatest impact with least resources, distinguishing one-way from two-way door decisions
Drive global strategic product narratives, technical decision documents, architecture proposals, investment cases, OP1/OP2 and respective executive reviews
Influence without authority across RME Field leadership, Central RME builders, Amazon Robotics, and enterprise partners building consensus on technical trade-offs, system dependencies, and integration priorities
Lead and develop a team of 10-15 tech and non-tech Product Managers, hiring, performance, coaching, promotions, and org design.

Amplify impact through product management community, cross-org collaboration, and recruiting
