Job description

Job Summary

Under general supervision, Lift Truck Operator (LTO) will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and movement of product within warehouse and manufacturing environments. The role requires product movements performed via sit down and stand up forklifts, pole, pallet jacks, and the use of radio frequency equipment. 1 year lift truck experience (Required).

Night Shift

Key Responsibilities

  • Motivated and Professional work attitude. Must follow dress code, wear assigned PPE and have superior work ethics.

  • Move product within the warehouse and manufacturing areas operating the proper lift truck equipment.

  • This position will required flexible working hours, including overtime, and also help cover shifts during vacation and call-offs.

  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a close team environment, not only with his/her department but also with any other department.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.

  • Promptly report all safety malfunctions of the equipment. Perform daily lift truck and dock door inspections.

  • Assist in keeping work areas in a clean orderly manner.

  • Any other duties requested by supervisor.

  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 1 year lift truck experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required.

  • Experience on pole hysters, stand/sit reach trucks and forklifts preferred.

  • Prior use of handheld RF scanners while operating a lift truck preferred.

  • Ability to read and understand production orders, shipping documents and safety guidelines.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relationships.
