The Opportunity
Batesville Tool & Die (BTD) is seeking a Programmer Analyst/Systems Integration to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our manufacturing technology ecosystem. This is a high impact, senior individual contributor role responsible for integrating ERP systems, plant-floor technologies, data platforms that directly support production, operational efficiency, and business insight.
Reporting to the IT Manager, this position sits at the intersection of Plex ERP, environments, SQL/data, and security. While the role does not include direct people management, it carries significant technical influence and serves as a trusted technical resource across IT, Operations, and third-party partners.

Requirements
What You'll Do
Manufacturing Systems & ERP Integration
  • Design, support, and enhance integrations between Plex ERP, manufacturing systems, and plant-floor technologies
  • Serve as a technical owner for ERP integration across operations, reporting, and automation platforms
  • Partner with Operations and vendors to improve ERP-to-manufacturing system data flows
  • Enable production data integration for analytics, automation, and business intelligence
  • A Plus for any Niagara Workbench experience

Programming, SQL & Automation
  • Develop and maintain SQL/MySQL databases, queries, and procedures
  • Write and support SQL programming for reporting and system integration
  • Build and support full stack web-based applications
  • Create and maintain advanced Excel macros
  • Use PowerShell scripting to automate system administration and security tasks
  • A Plus for Power BI Experience
  • Experience with AI Initiatives a Plus

Security-First Engineering
  • Apply a security-first mindset to all systems, integrations, and automation efforts
  • Support endpoint protection and MDR tools (CrowdStrike, Darktrace, or similar preferred)
  • Assist with security event investigation and response
  • Support VPN, MFA, and firewall configurations (Fortinet and DUO preferred)
  • Collaborate on security policies, standards, and procedures

Infrastructure, M365 & Networking Support
  • Familiar with Windows servers, including physical and virtual (Hyper-V) environments
  • Familiar with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and multi-domain environments
  • Provide advanced Microsoft 365 administration, including SSO integrations
  • Support VLANs, network devices, and wireless infrastructure

Technical Enablement & Collaboration
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor within the IT team
  • Support and guide others through troubleshooting and knowledge sharing
  • Document systems, integrations, and best practices
  • Align technical solutions with business and manufacturing objectives

Who You Are
Required:
  • Experience with manufacturing systems integration and ERP platforms
  • Strong skills in SQL/MySQL database management and SQL programming
  • Experience with Full Stack web based development
  • Advanced experience with Excel macros
  • Working knowledge of Windows server environments and scripting
  • Security-minded approach to system design and problem solving

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting or integrating Plex ERP
  • Experience with Niagara Workbench, Mach II, PLCs, or industrial control systems
  • Experience working in IT/OT manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with Power BI and enterprise BI tools
  • Exposure to AI tools, AI strategy, or AI governance
  • Experience with Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Darktrace, Veeam, PDQ, or Qualys

  • Competitive Salary: $70,000 - $100,000.00 commensurate with experience
