Who We Are

Fast Lane Auto has been serving Owensboro for over a decade. We are a family- and Christian-run business backed by the processes and systems that made our sister shop, Full Throttle Automotive in Evansville, IN, AAA’s Top Repair Facility in the Nation (2024). Our culture is built on clear expectations, teamwork, and keeping techs wrenching, not chasing parts or paperwork.

We’ve invested in modern software, digital inspections, a streamlined workflow board, and support staff so you can flag more hours and grow your skills. This is a fast-paced, loyal-customer, high-volume shop that rewards the technicians who set the standard.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform complete digital inspections and high-level testing & analysis and repairs across:
    • Engine performance
    • Electrical & emissions
    • Brakes, steering & suspension
    • Driveline & cooling systems
    • HVAC & exhaust
    • Diagnose, road test, and repair vehicles to the highest standard.
  • Work efficiently in a full schedule, high-volume shop without sacrificing quality.
  • Collaborate with advisors and teammates to ensure clear communication and top-tier customer care.
  • Maintain a professional, organized bay and use shop-provided equipment responsibly.
What We Provide
We’ve built systems so you can focus on producing hours and excelling in your craft:
  • 2 full-time Service Advisors: they estimate, sell tickets, and order parts—no wasted time at the counter.
  • Dedicated parts manager: ensures accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Quality Control techs and lube techs: handle oil changes, quick service, and support so you’re handed jobs ready to go.
  • On-site ownership & management: no red tape, problems handled quickly.
  • All-digital shop: faster approvals, higher ARO, no paper bottlenecks.
  • Team environment: knowledge-sharing, support, and training trips (Vision, NHRA Nationals, French Lick).
  • State-of-the-art tools: scopes, diagnostic devices, specialty tools, and subscriptions (AllData, Identifix, Motologic).
Requirements
  • 5+ years in an automotive repair facility (required).
  • Own professional-grade tools.
  • Strong background in diagnostics, drivability, and use of bi-directional scanners.
  • Lab scope experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Punctual, reliable attendance.
  • Team-oriented with solid organizational skills.
  • ASE certifications preferred (not required—training and testing support provided).
Benefits
  • Flat rate pay with production accelerators
  • Monthly incentive bonuses + annual incentive bonus.
  • 100% employer-paid health insurance for the employee.
  • Paid uniforms.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • Paid time off + 6–9 paid holidays.
  • Continuing education and ASE test costs covered.
  • Professional development and relocation assistance available.
  • Employee discounts, life insurance, dental, and vision options.
Why You’ll Love It Here

We aren’t just a workplace—we’re a family-oriented team that values hard work, loyalty, and growth. Our goal is to make sure techs can earn, learn, and thrive without corporate politics. You’ll have everything you need to succeed. We invest in our people—in tools, training, and culture.
