The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities. This role leads market research, prospecting, and deal execution, builds relationships with key decision-makers, and partners closely with internal teams to design compelling solutions and transition new clients into long-term accounts. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage day-to-day sales activities and ensure that order creation is sufficient to meet revenue goals.

• Support the evolution of NGS by driving new service development as identified by customers.

• Participate in strategy development and M&A due diligence as it relates to the ability for companies to grow.

• Represent NGS in various trade organizations and shows in a professional manner.

• Engage in executive-level negotiations for high value projects.

• Outreach to prospects (email, calls, social, events), secure discovery meetings, and move opportunities through the sales cycle to close.

• Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, often developing strategic partnerships or channel relationships.

• Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, quotes, and presentations; negotiate pricing and contract terms.

• Track pipeline, revenue, and activity metrics in CRM; forecast and report on progress toward sales and growth targets.

• Work with our technical SME’s to write and follow up on proposals, specify appropriate standards and pricing.

• Meet all activity targets and log activity in to CRM platform.

• Prepare sales reports and forecasts, as required.

• Mentor existing and future sales/business development team and be accountable for their personal progress and development.

• Other duties as assigned.




Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant work experience with proven track record in Inspection, Testing & Maintenance field preferred. 

• B2B sales experience is required.

• Business development with a record of meeting or exceeding new-business targets.

• Strong prospecting and networking skills, including comfort with cold outreach and attending industry events.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

• Strategic and analytical mindset to evaluate markets, prioritize opportunities, and build data-informed growth plans.

• We are looking for a driven salesperson that is self-motivated, with an entrepreneurial approach to their work.

• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and superior presentation skills.

• Must be energized and self-motivated and can work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

• Proficient with CRM's, Microsoft Office, Lead Service software and other software.

• Ability to travel 30% of the time in US & Canada.
