Responsibilities
We are seeking an Expert-Level GEOINT Integrator with hands-on experience across the full Systems Engineering and Integration lifecycle, including Architecture, Requirements, CONOPS, Integration, Testing, and Transition activities. This role supports enterprise transformation initiatives across GEOINT mission systems and projects and requires a strategic thinker who can bridge mission needs with technical execution.
The ideal candidate will possess familiarity with the GEOINT Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) Architecture and will contribute to enterprise architecture modernization, technical planning, engineering analyses, and cross-organizational integration efforts that advance GEOINT mission capabilities.
As a member of the Enterprise Engineering & Architecture Division's Integration Team, you will collaborate with Senior, Mid-Level, and Junior Engineers and Integrators to evaluate enterprise capabilities, identify modernization opportunities, and develop recommendations that inform strategic investment decisions, including system consolidation and divestiture initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Engineering Analysis
• Perform architecture gap analyses and support the development of Future State Enterprise Architectures.
• Conduct engineering analyses to inform GEOINT mission and IT capability investment decisions aligned with Enterprise Architecture baselines.
• Perform baseline analyses and support the allocation of requirements to system architecture components.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability across requirements, architecture, interfaces, and program execution activities.
• Capture and translate mission and customer needs into technical requirements, capabilities, and solution recommendations.
Conduct:
o Architecture Gap Analyses
o Enterprise Requirements Analyses
o Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs)
o Courses of Action (COAs)
o Trade Studies
o Engineering Assessments
Systems Integration & Modernization
• Support enterprise-wide integration activities across NGA Program Executive Offices (PEOs).
• Ensure synchronization of engineering efforts and documentation of Enterprise Baselines, including: Architecture, Requirements and Interfaces
• Apply Systems Engineering and Integration expertise to modernize GEOINT architectures and mission capabilities.
• Leverage knowledge of the Joint Enterprise Ground and Space Architecture to support mission integration initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end integration projects between NGA and Mission Partners from project planning through Transition to Operations (TTO).
Digital Engineering & Project Planning
• Work within NGA's Digital Engineering Environment to develop:
-Integrated Project Plans, Requirements, Epics, Target-State Architectures, CONOPS, Roadmaps
• Develop schedules, project plans, engineering artifacts, and risk management documentation.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) focused on modernization efforts.
Mission & Capability Delivery
Support integrated solutions and capability delivery efforts across mission areas including:
• Analytic Modernization
• Collection Management
• Data Services
• Foundation GEOINT
• Information Technology Modernization
Leadership & Strategic Contributions
• Provide thought leadership and identify opportunities to expand team scope and mission impact.
• Define project plans, deliverables, execution timelines, and resource requirements.
• Participate in NGA Governance, Configuration Management, and Risk Management processes.
• Help define and improve modern system integration processes.
• Drive adoption of Agile methodologies, Digital Engineering practices, and cross-organizational collaboration across the enterprise.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related STEM field OR equivalent 18+ years' experience as a Systems Integrator can be considered in lieu of a degree
• 18+ years' of Expert-level experience in: Engineering, design, and analysis of IT or related systems. All phases of system design, development, analysis, and documentation, Development of standards, guidelines, and best practices for engineering activities
Expert-level experience supporting government or industry programs involving:
o DoD/IC Acquisition Processes
o Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES)
Desired Qualifications
• Experience with or working knowledge of the GEOINT TCPED Architecture, including: Data Providers, Systems and Services, Interfaces, Data Flows
• Demonstrated knowledge of: National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Enterprise Environments
• Experience supporting transformational initiatives such as: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Multi-Cloud Architectures, Edge Computing / Edge Nodes
Experience with Agile project management tools including: Jira, Confluence, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification(s)
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including: MBSE methodologies, Processes, Tools, Modeling languages
Pay
Target Salary Range: $150,000 to $164,000. The salary range listed represents the anticipated compensation for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and other relevant factors
