Job description

The Manager, Digital Strategy and Business Development plays a critical role in the development of NFL Digital Media platforms short- and long-term strategic approach. The role will require a deep understanding of user data, competitive analysis, and the NFL ecosystem to create actionable strategic direction for the broader organization. The role will also directly support partnership strategy across sourcing, deal negotiation, and operational execution.
Responsibilities
  • Define near- and long-term strategy for the NFL's digital media business, creating vision and prioritization framework to drive growth across NFL+, NFL App, and NFL.com experiences
  • Independently identify, evaluate, and recommend new growth opportunities across product features, promotional strategies, distribution models, and strategic partnerships through financial modeling, market analysis, and unlocking insights from unstructured data sets
  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives from concept through execution, partnering with Product, Marketing, Growth, Content, Finance, Legal, Sponsorship, and Ad Sales to align stakeholders and deliver business outcomes
  • Develops strategic evaluations and decision frameworks that enable leadership to assess, prioritize, and make informed decisions on business initiatives.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships that expand audience reach, drive incremental revenue, and advance NFL's digital media strategy
  • Create executive-level communications and strategic planning materials to support decision-making by NFL senior leadership
  • Presents data-driven findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, influencing key business decisions and organizational priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to NFL Media leadership, providing analytical rigor and executive support on high-priority initiatives and business-critical decisions.

Required Qualifications
  • A four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • 5-7+ years of work experience in strategy, consulting, business development, or related fields -- experience in sports, media, or digital products preferred
  • Strong understanding of digital media ecosystems, including streaming platforms, distribution models, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) business models
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategic frameworks and translating data and market insights into actionable business recommendations
  • Exercises a high degree of discretion, judgment, and professionalism in handling highly confidential, sensitive, and business-critical information. Experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders across product, marketing, finance, and other business units
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to distill complex concepts into clear, easy-to-understand presentations
