Warehouse/Lot Attendant – (Lift Trucks/Forklifts)
Location: 5604 Valley Belt Road, Independence, OH 44131
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm; M-F - Full-Time
Hourly Rate: $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience
Benefits: 3 weeks of PTO + medical, dental, vision and 401(k)

Job Summary
The Warehouse/Lot Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of various types of lift trucks, such as forklifts. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure the proper handling and movement of lift trucks in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Essential Functions
  • Equipment Handling: Safely operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load and unload forklifts and lift trucks from delivery vehicles and storage areas.
  • Inspection and Verification: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing equipment to verify specifications, check for damage, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Loading Procedures: Utilize proper loading techniques to secure equipment for transportation, ensuring safety and stability during transit.
  • Documentation: Complete all necessary shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and condition reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records of heavy equipment, updating systems to reflect current stock levels and reporting discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and operational protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting regular safety checks on lift trucks/heavy equipment.
  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that heavy equipment is stored properly and that loading areas are free from hazards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisor to coordinate loading and unloading schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Position Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
  • Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is strongly preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift objects (up to 50 lbs.) and perform physically demanding tasks in both a warehouse and outside environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation.
