Your Opportunity, Your Team
Reporting to the Director, Software Engineering, you will lead our Core Framework Team, the primary platform engineering group responsible for the foundation of our commerce ecosystem. This team owns the core commerce platform, architecture standards, shared engineering capabilities, and content/personalization systems that power scalable digital experiences across the organization.
This is a critical leadership role focused on technical delivery excellence, people leadership, and engineering execution. You will manage a team of accomplished software engineers, helping them perform at their highest potential while ensuring the delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives.
Where You'll Work
This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at West Chester, PA several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: DE, NJ, PA. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the Core Framework Team responsible for the foundational commerce platform, architecture standards, and shared engineering capabilities that power QVC's digital experiences.
  • Guide the delivery of complex, high-impact platform projects, including content management, personalization systems, and experimentation platforms, using Agile methodologies.
  • Guide technical decisions and architecture reviews, ensuring all solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational standards and modernization goals.
  • Oversee the implementation and governance of reusable frameworks, performance, scalability, and reliability plans across the commerce ecosystem.
  • Partner with Product, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Security teams to align priorities, resolve technical challenges, and create business-critical solutions.

What You'll Bring
  • 8+ years hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying enterprise-scale web, commerce, or platform solutions.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience managing software engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  • 8+ years hands-on experience architecting and implementing systems using TypeScript, Java, React, Next.js, Python, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms with CI/CD pipelines.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience leading Agile/Scrum delivery, including planning, prioritization, and execution of multiple concurrent engineering projects.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience integrating and working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Target, and Adobe Analytics, or similar enterprise content/personalization platforms.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps, Security) and communicating technical concepts to partners.
