Florida Power & Light Company's Home & Business Energy Specialists is seeking an Energy Solutions Specialist to join their team near the Ft. Myers area. Due to the territory this representative will serve, which has a high concentration of Spanish speaking customers, Spanish speaking is highly preferred. The ideal candidate would also hold a Technical or an Associate degree. degree.

Job Overview
Employees in this role perform home energy assessments and provide a customized energy management plan that provides specific solutions to energy-related issues and promotes products and services through a consultative sales process. This role maintains extensive knowledge of technical products ranging from rooftop solar, electric vehicles and complex HVAC systems, etc. to provide energy efficiency programs and recommendations. This role, through insights and expertise, will influence customers to adopt beneficial products and services and is instrumental in enhancing the company's brand image as a sustainable-customer conscious organization. Employees also perform other technical and non-technical field activities that support the company's business objectives such as community engagement events, proactive customer outreach, and metering investigations.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Safely conduct onsite comprehensive energy audits and assessments while listening actively to customers' needs and concerns
  • Educate customers on energy conservation practices while engaging customers to build a strong relationship and loyal customer base
  • Analyze energy consumption data to identify patterns and inefficiencies while developing compelling sales pitches for energy products/services
  • Recommend energy-efficient solutions and technologies while educating customers about products and service benefits
  • Influence the implementation of energy-saving strategies, solutions, products, and/or services while personalizing the customer experience
  • Create and provide a detailed energy assessment report while using effective story-telling to close any deals and product adoptions
  • Conduct outreach and evaluate the impact of any energy-saving initiatives taken while cultivating brand loyalty, image, and advocacy
  • Safely conduct reviews and install low-income weatherization measures while educating and gaining adoption for applicable products, services, and programs
  • Promote products and services through other business partner initiatives while enhancing sales targets to drive growth
  • Support and provide staffing for marketing and community events while educating customers about the value the company provides
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 2+ years
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates Degree
  • Technical Certifications/Trade Schools in areas like HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.
