Job description

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Repairing electric and gas drive welding equipment.
  • Work with electrical voltages up to 440 volt ac and 900 volts dc.
  • Test and ensure welding equipment is operating as it should and is in safe working order
  • Attend service training certification schools as required to stay up to date on warranty and latest technologies
  • Diagnose, service and repair electrical, mechanical, and engine driven equipment including MIG, TIG, STICK and PLASMA CUTTERS.

  • Test equipment after repairs are made to ensure proper and safe operation.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education equivalent to a one year Technical College or equivalent.
• 1-3+ years of related electrical and mechanical experience.
• Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding application and equipment is an asset.
• Strong electrical and mechanical background preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and work in a shop environment
• No welding skills required.
