OverviewThis position oversees and manages new and existing initiatives and programs in the EGS & Drilling Technologies department, related to the development of Next-Generation Geothermal technologies. Example Initiatives can include; development of Next-Generation Geothermal projects, government funded programs, internal/external partnerships & projects, and technology investments.

Responsibilities

  • Identify strategic opportunities and create program roadmaps and initiatives that directly support the company’s mission and strategic goals.
  • Establishing the frameworks, processes, reporting standards, and performance metrics that associated projects within the program will follow.
  • Track progress across multiple projects, maintain accurate reporting, and escalate issues that may impact scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Developing and managing large-scale program budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring resources are allocated for efficiency.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal leadership, external partners, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary internal engineering, geoscience, and operations teams, while managing risks or resource conflicts that arise with multiple projects in parallel.
  • Manage partnerships with national labs, universities, industry partners, and contractors to advance program objectives.
  • Incorporate existing Project Management tools and processes (i.e., risk management, change control, and continuous improvement).
  • Must be able to travel up to 20%.
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner, enter and exit vehicle without assistance, remain alert while driving for continuous periods of time and read and understand maps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and (7-10) years of related experience or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Master’s Degree and/or Project Management Professional certification preferred.
  • Experience overseeing full program lifecycles from concept development through implementation.
  • Must have a high degree of initiative, ability to work with minimal or no supervision and a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak English at a level that will permit the employee to understand and communicate information in a manner that will enable the employee to perform the job duties safely and efficiently.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT's auto insurance carrier.

Physical Requirements
  • Job requires sitting and/or standing for long periods of time with moderate bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • The ability to work at a computer and computer monitor and use repetitive motion for long periods of time.
