In this role, you will collaborate with other teams to define and build new features, optimize existing features while writing elegant code, andcommunicatingwith people at all levels. You'll Get To:

  • Design, develop and deliver product features, while adhering to timelines, coding standards, requirements, and quality.

What You'll Bring:

  • BS degree in Computer Science plus 5 year's experience, or MS degree in Computer Science.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in building Web Applications, SaaS products, and RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development, generate optimized code, and troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to automate engineering tasks, such as writing unit tests, generating documentation, and improving overall process efficiency.
  • Adept at using AI for rapid research and problem-solving, including the exploration of new technologies, analysis of unfamiliar codebases, and evaluation of alternative design patterns.
  • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JavaScript Frameworks, etc.) is a plus.
  • A solid computer science foundation including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, with a proven track record of software design and architecture of complex systems.
  • Experience in service-oriented architecture and in building distributed systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, including stored procedures, data models, and transactional flows.
  • Adaptable team player with strong collaboration skills and a focus on results and value delivery.
  • Prior working experience in Scrum, or other Agile development methodologies, is preferred.
  • Passion for engineering excellence through automation, unit testing, and process improvements.

Salary Range:

$225,000.00-$282,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location.

In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.

We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring candidates have clear information about compensation expectations. For roles that include variable incentive components such as an Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) or On-Target Earnings (OTE), the compensation structure may follow a split model - for example, a 50/50, 70/30, or 60/40 ratio between base salary and variable incentive.
