What We're Looking For

We are seeking new talent to join our established and growing Novatech team. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about using their technical abilities to prepare and design contract drawings for a variety of civil engineering linear infrastructure and site works projects. If you are driven, enjoy the attention to detail and have energetic spirit conducive to a dynamic environment, this may be an ideal fit.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare preliminary and detailed engineering design drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  • Assist with roadway, grading, and servicing design.
  • Help prepare construction cost estimates.
  • Develop knowledge of current industry practices and standards.
  • Perform field inspections and field surveys as needed.

Skills & Experience You'll Need

  • High level of commitment and professionalism
  • Knowledge of the following software: Microsoft Office applications; AutoCAD/Civil 3D
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing, attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A valid Province of Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle recommended.
  • Field and or survey work experience an asset.

Education and Accreditation Required

  • Civil Engineering Technology Diploma.
  • Design courses in storm and sanitary sewers, watermain, drainage, roadways, and grading an asset.

Compensation/Work Arrangements

  • Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 annually. Salary offered will be based on education, experience,
    and skills.
