Job description

NOTE: MUST HAVE 1 YEAR OF CRITICAL CARE ICU EXPERIENCE (not open to New Grad RNs)

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused ICU Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool and make a difference for our patients and our community.

ICU RN's will care for patients in our med/surg/progressive care inpatient units as well as patients needing critical care in one of our 4 ICU units: SICU, MICU, CCU and Burn ICU.

Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient's bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. All new hire registered nurses at Regions Hospital will be automatically enrolled. Our award-winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. As a Registered Nurse in the Float Pool serving ICU patients, you will be responsible for performing patient centered, safe, effective, equitable, timely and efficient patient care based on the specific needs of the patient populations served, communicating effectively with patients, families, and the Care Team, participating as an effective unit and nursing department member and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other health care team members across the organization.

Work Schedule: 0.70 Day/Night. Mix of 8 and 12 hour shift; every 3rd weekend rotation.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
-Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
-Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
-CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
-Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
-BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
-One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred
-ICU RN experience is strongly preferred
