Job description

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be a key individual contributor responsible for building, maintaining, and governing the data architecture that powers Ford Pro's commercial ecosystem. You will translate architectural blueprints into scalable data solutions while serving as the primary steward of our data integrity. This role requires a hands-on engineer who excels at data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and the proactive management of data flows between Salesforce, MuleSoft, and our cloud environments.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on enterprise-scale CRM or cloud platforms.
  • 5+ years of proven expertise in Data Modeling and maintaining complex Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs).
  • 3+ years strong proficiency in SQL (GCP/BigQuery) and at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Apex).
  • 3+ years experience with data visualization and observability.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce data structures (Objects, SOQL, SOSL) and Salesforce Data Cloud.
  • Experience building and monitoring RESTful API integrations and web services.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (GitHub, Copado, or similar).

Even better, you may have...

  • Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform for data orchestration and API management.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant, Platform Developer I).
  • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
  • Experience navigating data governance and compliance within a large, global enterprise.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical data specifications.
You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home?
