Overview:
Title: Senior Snowflake Data Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Hollywood, FL (Onsite presence required)
Type: 6-12+ Month Contract (Potential to Convert)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to join our data engineering team. This is a senior-level role. The ideal candidate will work independently, drive initiatives forward, and contribute to architectural decisions while collaborating closely with ML engineers to enable AI/ML consumption of curated data.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of complex data pipelines (batch and streaming).
  • Maintain existing pipelines while building new ingestion and transformation workflows.
  • Implement Medallion Architecture (Raw, Silver, Curated layers) to support AI/ML use cases.
  • Process structured transactional data, semi-structured streaming data (JSON), and telemetry/web data.
  • Ensure clean, accurate, and well-modeled datasets with a strong semantic layer for ML/LLM usage.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers to define schemas and semantic layers (not responsible for building ML models).
  • Support high-frequency ingestion and streaming via brokers with configurable intervals.
Core Requirements
  • Hands-on expertise with Snowflake as a Data Lakehouse platform.
  • Strong background in data pipeline engineering (batch + streaming).
  • Experience with semi-structured data processing and distributed data architectures.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to architectural strategy.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
Work Model & Constraints
  • Location Preference: Florida-based candidates strongly preferred.
  • Hybrid Requirement: Onsite presence in Hollywood, FL is Required, even during onboarding.
